Viewing plan balances

You can perform this task only if your organization uses Absence Management.

If your organization does not use Absence Management, see Managing leaves of absence through work assignments.

  1. Sign in as Employee.
  2. Select To Do > My Time > Time Off List tab.
    Or, select My Profile > Absences tab.
  3. On Plan Balances, these columns are displayed:
    • Available Hours - This is the number of hours currently held on the plan. An alert indicates that carryover hours are included in the available balance.

    • Pending + Approved - These are the total hours of requested and approved time-off requests that have not yet been processed.  

    • Available For Request - This is the number of hours available to request and comprises Available Hours minus Pending + Approved.

    • Available Days - This is the number of days currently held on the plan. An alert indicates that carryover days are included in the available balance.

    • Pending + Approved - These are the total days of requested and approved time-off requests that have not yet been processed.  

    • % of Limit - If a limit applies, this shows how close your Available balance is to reaching the limit that you can hold in the plan.

    • Total Linked Balances - This is the sum of the balances for linked plans. These balances are displayed when Plan Leave Years are used and this is the first linked plan from which time off requests are made.
    • Current Leave Year - This is the First Time Off Request Date for the current year and the Leave Year End Date. These dates are displayed when Plan Leave Years are used.
  4. Open a record to see more balances for the plan.
    Click the browser's Back button to return to the list of plans.
  5. Optionally, click Print to print a PDF version of your plan balances and transaction detail.
    You might not see all transactions until an administrator performs a close-plan operation.
  6. Optionally, click Calendar to view and add time-off, leaves of absence, or time-entry records.
  7. In To Do > My Time, you can also view future projected balances on the Future Projected Balances tab if it has been enabled by your Administrator. Click Calculate Balance to calculate your future projected balances for a specific date.
