Defining and maintaining development activity types

Use this procedure to define the types of development activities used by your organization (for example, course, mentorship, competency inventory, experienced-based degree, and so on).

Note: An activity type named LMSCOURSE is predefined for Infor Learning Management courses. All development activities (courses) defined in Infor Learning Management are assigned this activity type. You can modify the description that displays on activities list to make it more significant to your organization.
  1. Select Development Planning > Set Up > Activity Components > Types.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Effective Date

    Required. Specify the effective date.

    Type

    Required. Specify the name of the development activity type.

    Description

    Specify the description of the development activity type. If left blank, the type name defaults.

    Active

    Select this check box to make the development activity type active. Inactive development activity types do not appear in lists.

  4. Click Save.
    Maintaining development activity types:

    • To update a development activity type, open the development activity type, update any of the fields, select an effective date, and save.

    • To delete a development activity, open the activity type, specify an effective date, click Delete, and click Yes to confirm.
