Updating steps and process rate progression

You can use the Update Steps and Process Rate Progression action to update all step rates linked to the selected step and grade schedule. This action automatically moves employees who meet the rate progression criteria to the next step.

  1. Select Maintenance > Rule Processing.
  2. Select a step and grade schedule with rate progression rules.
  3. Click the More Actions button, then select Update Steps And Process Rate Progression.

    You must refresh the page to view the updates.

  4. Specify this information:
    Increment By
    Select percent or amount, then provide the percentage or amount.
    Process As Of Date
    Provide the effective date.
    Reason
    Select the reason.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. When prompted, click OK.

    You must confirm the action twice before proceeding.

    Note: This action is only available for schedules with rate progression rules.
