Budget and award actions for roll up approvals
If roll up views are enabled by an administrator, a hierarchical tree view is displayed with all manager budgets and all employee awards in one view.
- Roll up approvals can only be used for the focal awarding period that was defined on the awarding view.
- The status cannot be changed on an awarding view in Final status with roll up approval.
- Roll up approval can only be disabled when the awarding view is in Preliminary status.
- Different actions are available for the budget owner, parent manager, and compensation analyst.
- Business Leader Review is available when Roll Up Approval is enabled in the Awarding View. To access this functionality, users must hold both compensation analyst and administrator security roles. Although the business leader security class is included by default, it is not linked to the direct supervisor role because the feature is optional. With roll up budget approvals enabled, users can take these actions:
- Promote Resources
- Finalize Awards
- Revise Awards
- Reassign Budget
- Transfer Budget
- Approve Awards
- Undo Approval
Note: The actions for Update Awards, Undo Awards, and Award Reason are available if roll up budget approvals are enabled or disabled.
