Creating ACA measurement periods
- Select . You can also create a measurement period from the Measurement Periods tab of a resource in .
- Select the Measurement Periods tab and click Create.
- Specify this information:

Employment ID

Select the employment ID for the resource.

Period Type

Select if creating an initial measurement period or a standard measurement period.

Benefit Group

Select the benefit group that the resource is part of for the hours measurement.

Measurement Period

Specify the dates of the measurement period. Both beginning and end dates are required.

Administrative Period

If there is an administrative period, specify both the beginning and end dates of the administrative period. The beginning date must be the day after the end date of the measurement period.

Stability Period

Specify the dates of the stability period. Both the beginning and end dates are required. If there is an administrative period then the beginning must be the day after the end of the administrative period. If there is no administrative period then the beginning must be the day after the end of the measurement period.

Date Type

Select the date type that is used to determine the resource’s hire date.

Average Weekly Hours

If left blank, average weekly hours are calculated as ((Total Hours from ACA Hours over measurement period) / ((Measurement End – Measurement Begin + 1 day) / 7)

Average Monthly Hours
-
If left blank, average monthly hours are calculated as ((Total Hours from ACA Hours over measurement period) / ((Measurement End – Measurement Begin + 1 day) / 30.4167)

Total Hours

If left blank, total hours are calculated as total Hours from ACA Hours over measurement period.

Incomplete

Select this check box if the Measurement Period is not yet complete.

Eligible

Select this check box if the resource is considered eligible for benefits.
- Click OK.
