Preparing and loading data into Birst
Before data from the HR Talent application can be loaded and processed in Infor Birst, it must first be replicated to the Data Lake. Schema registration is required before replicating data to the Data Lake.
These steps are performed when preparing and loading data into Birst:
Step | Description |
---|---|
1. Register the schemas of replication sets. | Registers the new schemas and updates to the existing schemas in the replication sets to the Data Catalog. |
2. Update the IMS connection point. This step only applies if there are replication sets with Data Destination set to IMS. Otherwise, skip this step. | Add documents from the replication sets to the FSM_IMS connection point to ION. |
3. Create or update Data Lake Flow. This step only applies if there are replication sets with Data Destination set to IMS. Otherwise, skip this step. | Creates or updates the Data Lake flow to send documents from the connection point to the Data Lake. |
4. Reset the replication sets. This step only applies when performing an initial full replication. Otherwise, skip this step. | Reset the replication sets when performing a full data replication to the Data Lake. |
5. Start the replication. | Initiates data replication to the Data Lake. |
6. Run the orchestration workflows. | Executes orchestration workflows to process the data in Birst. |
