Notification configuration
A notification is an internal communication or email communication that is sent to designated recipients when specific events occur. For example, the system can be configured to send an email notification to an employee user when a service agent closes the case.
The application is delivered with standard notifications that are configurable. Some notifications are designated as internal; some notifications are designated as email notifications. Notifications are configured at the application level and then applied to one or more populations. Administrators cannot create new notifications.
Notifications can be configured in several ways:
- Notifications must be imported before they can be activated or edited.
- Notifications can be activated in the system or deactivated. A notification that is active is available to be assigned to one or more populations. A notification that is inactive is not available to be assigned to any population.
- Active notifications can be assigned to one or more populations.
- The subject field of a notification can be configured.
- The message field of a notification can be configured.
