Viewing the log

The Document Administration log shows IDM transactions, both error and non-error. It is intended for troubleshooting purposes only.

Log entries are created and filtered in various ways:

  • Log entries are created for all IDM transactions when the Enable Log feature is enabled for the organization.
  • Only errors are logged when the Enable Log feature is not enabled.
  • Log entries can be filtered by Actor, Source, Process, Log, File Name, Time Created, Type, and Error options.
  • Log entries can be sorted by Most Recently Created (default), Actor, File Name, and Source options.
  • Log entries older than 30 days are automatically deleted.

Each successful IDM transaction has multiple log entries. Users can delete log entries.

  1. To view log entries in the Document Administrator webappp, select Log
  2. To view the log in the System Administration webappp, select Documents > Log > View All.
