Configuring Infor Document Management Private Space

The configuration of IDM is optional. We recommend that you maintain the default settings. Some elements are configured if the organization requires alternative settings.

In addition to the configurable settings, this page shows current counts for documents, errors, and log entries.

  1. Select Quick Links > Organizations
  2. Double-click the HR organization.
  3. In the Document Management Parameters section, specify this information:
    Enable Log
    Select this option to generate successful and unsuccessful entries for IDM transactions in the log.
    If the option is cleared, then only entries for unsuccessful IDM transactions are generated. By default, this option is selected.
    Enable Single Record Actions
    Select this option to make Move From IDM and Move To IDM actions available and manually move documents between the Landmark database and IDM Private Space when the administrator navigates to a document in the application. This option is cleared by default and is intended for troubleshooting purposes.
    Large File API Threshold (MB)
    For files with a size larger than the value that is specified here, IDM's faster API for large files is used. Users can specify this value. The default value is 2 MB. When this API is used, an empty file is sent to IDM initially, followed immediately by an update of the large file in IDM. Both transactions are shown in the Document Versions file history.
    Background Action Threshold (MB)
    Files that are larger than the default 20 MB are sent to IDM as a background action. To override this default file size, specify the minimum size of files that are sent as background actions.
    Default Text Search Result Limit
    Specify the maximum number of documents that are returned by the Text Search feature. The higher the number, the longer it takes for the text search results to be returned. Infor recommends a limit of 10. Users can override the default text search limit when performing a text search.
