The Task Details menu

The Task Details window is used to view tasks or take action on tasks. Administrators, generalists, managers, and employees can view the Details and Processing sections when they open a transition task in To Do > Transition Tasks.

Information about the task type such as the current status and prerequisite tasks are displayed in the Details section. Information about the assigned individual or task group for a task is displayed in the Assignment section

The Prerequisite and Assigned To fields are editable for administrative tasks that are not in cancelled, cancel confirmed, or complete status. Information that is required to complete the task is displayed in the Processing section. For example, instructions and notes.

Information about the assigned individual or task group for a task is displayed in the Assignment section. The Assigned To field is editable only for administrative tasks that are not in a cancelled, cancel confirmed, or complete status.

Administrators can update and save tasks in any status. For example, if a task is waiting on a dependency and the assignee can do some preliminary work. The assignee can update the notes and other editable fields before the prerequisite is completed. If collection of some information is required for the task, then that information is provided and saved on the task before the task is marked as complete.
