Adding standalone questions to question sets
- Sign in as Administrator and select Talent Acquisition > Code Setup > Questions > Question Catalog.
- Click Question Sets.
- Open the question set to which you want to add standalone questions.
- In the Set Questions section, click the Create button.

- Question Catalog

This is a read-only field from the Question Set.
- Question Set

This is a read-only field from the Question Set.
- Effective Date

Specify the effective date for the recruiting set question.
- Question

Specify the question.
- Active
- The question is active by default. Clear this check box to make the recruiting question inactive. Inactive recruiting questions are not displayed in some lists.
- Display Order
- Specify the placement of the question in the sequence of the questions displayed to the candidate.
- Response Type

Specify the type of response expected. The response type dictates some of the remaining fields.
- Use For Internal, External, Or Both?

Specify Internal if you want only internal candidates to see the question. Specify External if you want only external candidates to see the question. Specify Both if you want both internal and external candidates to see the question.
- Include In Application?

If you specify Yes, then candidates see the question when they apply. If you specify No, then the question is stored on the application for later interviews.
- Is A Response Required?

Specify Yes if you want the candidates to respond to the question. Candidates cannot complete the questionnaire until they answer all required questions.
- Is This A Screen Out Question?

If the question is used to screen out candidates, then specify Yes. If you specify the case, then you must specify a preferred answer. Only Yes No, Yes No Text, and List questions can be used to screen out candidates.
- Question Category

Specify the category to which the question belongs.
- Preferred Answer
- If the question is used to screen out candidates and the question type is Yes No or Yes No Text, then select the preferred answer.
- Require Follow Up Text If Answer Is

If the question is used to screen out candidates and the question type is Yes No Text, then indicate that the candidate should include follow-up text.
- Click Save.
