Limiting job applications from a candidate
Your organization may want to limit the number of applications that a single candidate can submit within the organization.
To set this up:
How are application limits implemented?
-
The application limits apply to all active job applications submitted by a candidate across job boards. Dispositioned or withdrawn job applications are excluded from the limit.
-
Within a job board, a candidate can only submit up to the number of applications allowed for the job board, minus the number of applications already submitted in other job boards. Blank job boards allow an unlimited number of job applications.
Example:
Job board TEACHERS has no application limit.
Job board CONSULTANTS has an application limit of 6.
Job board ADMINISTRATORS has an application limit of 5.
If candidate Noelle applies for 5 positions on the ADMINISTRATORS job board, she will only be allowed to apply for one position on the CONSULTANTS job board. If she apples for 5 positions on the CONSULTANTS job board, she will not be able to apply for any position on the ADMINISTRATORS job board.
However, Noelle can apply for as many positions as she likes on the TEACHERS job board, even if she has already applied for the maximum number of positions on the other job boards.
-
If a recruiter enters a different application limit on the candidate record (At A Glance tab), this value supercedes the Application Limit value on the job board. If there is an expiration date for the override value, the Application Limit value for this candidate returns to the job board value after the expiration date.
-
Candidates can make room to apply for more positions by withdrawing from job applications they have already submitted.
-
A dispositioned job application automatically makes room for the dispositioned candidate to apply for a new position.
-
Recruiters are not held to the Application Limit numbers. They can attach any candidates to as many job applications as they like and mark them as applied or email candidates to submit the job application.
