Verifiable credentials
Verifiable credentials are credentials that a candidate shares during a job application to an organization using the candidate's private key in Velocity Career Wallet.
- The candidate downloads Velocity Career Wallet and adds credentials to share with third-party applications.
- The candidate applies to a job and shares specific verifiable credentials.
- The candidate's verifiable credentials are sent to Talemetry.
- The candidate's job application and verifiable credentials are interfaced in Talent Acquisition through the Recruiting Partner Applications integration.
- The candidate's verifiable credentials and status are displayed on the Requisitions and Candidates pages, and on the Talent Profile tab of the candidate's profile in Talent Acquisition.
- The recruiters can verify and reverify the candidate's verifiable credentials during the recruitment process.

Status | Description |
---|---|
Failed | Career credentials that are revoked, expired, tampered, exhausted the reserve voucher, or unresolved to a trusted member of Velocity. |
Not verified | Career credentials that recruiters can verify in Requisitions, Candidates, and Talent Profile. |
Verified | Career credentials that recruiters can reverify in Requisitions, Candidates, and Talent Profile. |

Recruiters can verify and reverify candidate's career credentials on Requisitions, Candidates, and Talent Profile.
To ensure that the candidate's career credentials are issued by a certified issuer of Velocity Network and not tampered with, expired, or revoked, recruiters must verify and reverify candidate's career credentials.
To verify and reverify the candidate's credentials successfully, recruiters are required to use Velocity vouchers, which are purchased and managed by their organization.
The total number of career credentials for each employee that recruiters can verify and reverify are displayed on Requisitions.
