Moving job applications through the selection processes

Much of the application process involves work outside the Talent Acquisition application, such as phone calls, calls to references, and so on. Talent Acquisition provides a tracking tool for interviews, emails, and where a candidate is in the process.

To move a job application through the selection process

  1. Access Recruiter > Requisitions > By Selection Process tab.
  2. On the Requisition Dashboard panel, locate and select the requisition.

All the applications for the selected requisition are shown on the All tab.

  3. Select the job application you want to move.
    Note:

You can select multiple job applications (using Ctrl-Click or Shift-Click) and move them together.

  4. On the Candidates panel, right-click the selected job application or click the All Actions Menu, and select the selection process that you want to move the job application to.

    or

If you want to first review a candidate or specify information before moving the job application, open the job application record. When you are ready, click Actions and select the selection process that you want to move the job application to.

    • If you choose Disposition, select a disposition reason and click OK. The job application is moved to the Disposition process and the number of candidates in that process is incremented by one.

    • If you choose any other selection process, the selected job application is moved to that process and the number of candidates in that process is incremented by one.

      Note:

If your organization uses position budgets and this action would result in exceeding a position budget allocation (in terms of FTE, headcount or salary) or in the resource exceeding the maximum allowed FTE for a resource, you will not be able to complete this action. The error message that pops up will explain how the budget is exceeded.
