Configuring quick movements

Quick movements are an alternative to Move to Step. Customers can permit recruiters and hiring managers to move candidates into and out of workflow steps based on events. The benefit is that recruiters and hiring managers can be more responsive in intervening in workflows. Three actions are available:
  • Advance Candidate: moves the candidate to a Hiring Manager Review step
  • Discontinue Candidate: moves the candidate to a Disposition type step
  • Hold Candidate: moves the candidate to a Further Review step

If these actions have been configured, then they are available in the All Actions menu on lists and forms where Move To Step is available when the application status is Applied.

There are two steps required to configure quick movement actions for workflow steps. First, add the one or more actions on the Actions tab that is associated with each workflow step. Next, add an automation for every action that you have added. These automations are associated with the quick actions in a workflow step.

  1. Sign in as Administrator and select Talent Acquisition > Workflow Setup > Hiring Workflows.
  2. Double-click a workflow.
  3. Click Workflow Steps.
  4. Open a workflow step
  5. Click Actions.
  6. Add one or more actions: Advance Candidate, Discontinue Candidate, Hold Candidate.
  7. When the actions have been added, you must create one automation for each quick action that is available on the step. For example, if all three actions are available, then you must create three automations. Click Automations.
  8. Click Create.
  9. Specify this information:
    Workflow Action
    Select the Move To Step.
    Run Order
Specify the automation's position in the sequence of automations if multiple automations are run.
    Run Upon
Select Quick Move Yes to run the automation upon the start of the Advance Candidate action, Quick Move Maybe to run the automation upon the start of the Hold Candidate action, or Quick Move No to run the automation upon the start of the Discontinue Candidate action.
    Eligibility Group
    Optionally, select an eligibility group.
    Move To Workflow Step
Select the workflow step that the candidate moves to when the quick move action is performed. For example, if you want a candidate to move to the Further Review workflow step when Hold is clicked, you’d select the Move to Workflow Step of Further Review with a Run Upon of Maybe.
  10. Click Save. See Validating workflow quick actions.
