Corporate time zone configuration
The Infor Landmark Technology default time zone feature enables customers to set up a corporate date that overrides the server’s date, for processing. For multi-tenant implementations, the default time zone is initially set to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). Customers can change the default time zone.
- A customer whose corporate headquarters is Pacific Standard Time (PST) and has the server time set to UTC
- On May 4, 2020, a candidate applies for a job at 6 p.m. PST.
- The job application date within is stored as May 5, 2020. Note that 6 p.m. PST is 1 a.m. the next day. To show the application date in the time zone as your corporate headquarters, the default time zone could be set to PST within Infor Landmark Technology.
- If the
effectivedate.timezone.basissetup
is system, then the effective date in the audit log is August 5, 2020. The reason is that 8 p.m. CST on August 4, 2020 equals 1 a.m. UTC on August 5, 2020. - If the
effectivedate.timezone.basissetup
is corporate, then the effective date in the audit log is August 4, 2020.
This enhancement is not recommended for companies that are doing extensive processing across multiple time zones. For example, one division of the company might be in the Philippines time zone. Another division of the company is in the United States Eastern time zone. For these types of companies, it is suggested that a standard time zone is used.
Configuration is a two-part process. First, you set a default time zone from the time zone list in Landmark. Then you configure the setting that sets the effective dates of transactions. The effective date cannot be altered by the user. It is set by the system.
