LinkedIn Basic Jobs setup
Recruiters can make job boards available to LinkedIn. External candidates view posted jobs on LinkedIn. Candidates who wish to apply are redirected to the candidate experience to complete the job application.
- This integration works by creating an XML feed of posting data that can be ingested by LinkedIn. HR Talent administrators must generate a link to the xml file for the Job Board feed and then provide the link to LinkedIn.
- Jobs from any job board can be included in the feed to LinkedIn.
- If a Job Board has been identified as ‘Include For LinkedIn Basic Jobs,’ then a scheduled action called ‘Create LinkedIn Basic Jobs XML Feed’ is available to an administrator. The action can be scheduled to run so that the XML feed is created with the frequency that the organization requires.
Postings that do not meet these criteria are not included in the XML feed to LinkedIn and will display on the Basic Jobs Exception Log.
- LinkedIn requires the job description to be greater than 100 characters.
- LinkedIn requires that values are specified in the Job Title and Location fields.
- The Partner Job ID field that identifies the posting record to LinkedIn is a concatenation of HR Organization, Job Requisition and Job Posting. This is generated automatically by the system.
