Creating a job board with Candidate Experience
Use this process to create a new job board or update one that was created with Candidate Experience. This process includes configuration of all aspects of the job board, including branding, third-party job searches, and privacy policy acknowledgment.
- Select Administrator > Talent Acquisition > Code Setup > Job Boards.
- Click Create.

Specify this information:
- Effective Date
- Specify the date the job board is available to users in the system.
- Job Board
- Specify the name of the job board.
- Description
- Specify a brief description of the job board.
- Board Type
- Specify the board type: Internal, External, or Third-Party.
- Active
- Select this option to make the job board available in the application.
- Logo
- Select a logo from the list.
- Uses Jobs Web Application
- Select this option to configure the job board for the candidate experience. When this option is selected, settings that are specific to the candidate experience are available. Only external job boards and third-party job boards can be configured to use the candidate experience. The candidate experience does not support internal job boards. This setting can be changed on an inactive job board. Inactive job boards are not shown on select lists.
- Auto Create Job Posting URL
- Select this option to auto-generate the job posting URL when a requisition is posted to the job board. The generated URL directs the candidate to the new candidate experience if ‘Uses Jobs WebApplication’ is turned on. Otherwise, it directs the candidate to the CandidateSpace.zip file.
- Regenerate Live Job Posting URLs
- This action is used only for existing job boards. Click the button to run the Generate Job Posting URL action on all live job postings that are associated with the job board. All recruiting vendors retrieve records with the API based on their criteria. Coordination with the vendor is required to ensure they retrieve all intended updates. Before running this action, customers should review the effect of updating any live URLs with third-party paid job boards. Regenerating URLs may incur additional fees depending on the job board contract.

In the Jobs Home Page pane, specify this
information:
- Welcome Message
- Specify the content page that contains the text that is shown to candidates in a panel on the home page of the job board.
- Embedded Video URL:
- Specify a video that is displayed on the home page. Only embedded videos can be used. The URL that you specify must be the embedded link from the third-party video service.
- Job List
- Specify the job list that is shown on the job board.
- You can show no job list on the home page. Customers who use job application only mode should specify this option.
- You can show recent jobs. This option uses the Recent Job Days field to determine the jobs that are included in the list.
- You can show featured jobs. This option uses the Featured Job flag on the requisition to determine the jobs that are shown.
- You can show all jobs.

In the Branding pane, specify this information:
- Logo
- Specify the file that populates the logo area of the job board pages: registration screen, candidate profile, job posting when using job application-only mode, post-apply forms such as the offer review.
- Show Embedded Map On Job Posting
- Select this option to show the location of the job in the job posting display pages.

In the Privacy Policy pane, specify this
information:
- Require Acknowledgment During Self Registration
- Select this option to require the candidate to acknowledge the policy or other text that is specified in the Privacy Policy field. This feature is typically used for a privacy policy that the hiring organization wants the candidate to review and acknowledge before proceeding with the application. These policies are configured in the Content area of Application Setup.
- Privacy Policy
- Specify the policy that the candidate is acknowledging.
- Acknowledgment Text
- Specify the instructions to the candidate. For example, specify I have read and consent to the terms of the privacy policy.

If your organization uses a third-party career site to host jobs, then in
theUsing A Third Party Career Site? pane, specify this
information:
- Enable Job Application-Only Mode
- Select this option to hide job search, job alerts, and saved jobs menus from the job board. When job application only mode is enabled, job posting details are not displayed when candidates click Apply on third-party career sites.
- Use Third Party Job Search For External Candidates
- If your organization uses a third-party job search, then specify the site URL. When this option is enabled, users who click Search For Jobs are directed to the third-party site instead of the Job Search menu.
- External Job Search URL
- If your organization is using a third-party job search for external candidates, then specify the URL.
- Job Scraping URL
- If your organization requires this URL, then an administrator can copy the URL and provide it to the third party.

In the Source And Costs pane, specify this
information:
- Default Source
- Specify the source that is used on the job application if the candidate does not
provide a source.
This field is required on internal job boards.
- Default Specific Source
- Specify the specific source that is used on the job application if the candidate
does not provide a specific source. Note: If a third-party website is used by your organization to post jobs, then the source, specific source, and referring source are sent to your organization using context session keys and literal values. These values are used as the default source, specific source, and referring source when a candidate applies to a job posting.
- Cost Per Posting
- Specify the cost per posting that the third-party job board charges your organization.
- Expense Category
- If you specified a cost, then you must specify the expense category to which the cost is assigned.

In the Recent Jobs pane, specify this information:
- Recent Job Days
- Specify the jobs that are shown in the recent jobs list. Jobs posted within the number of days indicated are shown in the list.
- Include jobs where the Posting Date is Greater Than or Equal To
- Specify the earliest date for postings that are shown.

In the Job Alerts pane, specify this information:
- Alert Email Template
- Select the email template that is used when job alerts are sent to candidates. If a candidate has created a job alert that matches the criteria of a newly posted job, then this template is used in the notification.
- Expires After
- Specify the number of days a job alert remains active. If the alert should never expire, then leave the field empty.
- In the Saved Jobs section, select a default banner to show on the Saved Jobs and Alerts page.

In the If No Openings pane, specify the search options
that are available to candidates even when no job postings are available:
- Show Location
- Select this option to enable search by location when no job postings are available.
- Show Category
- Select this option to enable search by job category when no job postings are available.
- Show Relationship To Organization
- Select this option to enable search by relationship to the organization when no job postings are available.

In the Sharing Options pane, select one or more sharing
options for a job posting that are available to candidates:
- Share the job posting to friends in Facebook.
- Share the job posting to followers in Twitter.
- Share and send the job posting in email.
- Copy Link
- Copy and paste the URL of the job posting.
Note: You can select one or more sharing options for a job posting. All sharing options for a job posting are selected by default. Sharing options are available to external and third-party job boards.. - Click Save.
