Creating a job board with Candidate Experience

Use this process to create a new job board or update one that was created with Candidate Experience. This process includes configuration of all aspects of the job board, including branding, third-party job searches, and privacy policy acknowledgment.

  1. Select Administrator > Talent Acquisition > Code Setup > Job Boards.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Effective Date
Specify the date the job board is available to users in the system.
    Job Board
Specify the name of the job board.
    Description
Specify a brief description of the job board.
    Board Type
Specify the board type: Internal, External, or Third-Party.
    Active
Select this option to make the job board available in the application.
    Logo
Select a logo from the list.
    Uses Jobs Web Application
Select this option to configure the job board for the candidate experience. When this option is selected, settings that are specific to the candidate experience are available. Only external job boards and third-party job boards can be configured to use the candidate experience. The candidate experience does not support internal job boards. This setting can be changed on an inactive job board. Inactive job boards are not shown on select lists.
    Auto Create Job Posting URL
Select this option to auto-generate the job posting URL when a requisition is posted to the job board. The generated URL directs the candidate to the new candidate experience if ‘Uses Jobs WebApplication’ is turned on. Otherwise, it directs the candidate to the CandidateSpace.zip file.
    Regenerate Live Job Posting URLs
This action is used only for existing job boards. Click the button to run the Generate Job Posting URL action on all live job postings that are associated with the job board. All recruiting vendors retrieve records with the API based on their criteria. Coordination with the vendor is required to ensure they retrieve all intended updates. Before running this action, customers should review the effect of updating any live URLs with third-party paid job boards. Regenerating URLs may incur additional fees depending on the job board contract.
  4. In the Jobs Home Page pane, specify this information:
    Welcome Message
Specify the content page that contains the text that is shown to candidates in a panel on the home page of the job board.

    Job List
Specify the job list that is shown on the job board.
    • You can show no job list on the home page. Customers who use job application only mode should specify this option.
    • You can show recent jobs. This option uses the Recent Job Days field to determine the jobs that are included in the list.
    • You can show featured jobs. This option uses the Featured Job flag on the requisition to determine the jobs that are shown.
    • You can show all jobs.
  5. In the Branding pane, specify this information:

This feature is typically used for a privacy policy that the hiring organization wants the candidate to review and acknowledge before proceeding with the application. These policies are configured in the Content area of Application Setup.

    External Job Search URL
If your organization is using a third-party job search for external candidates, then specify the URL.

Note: If a third-party website is used by your organization to post jobs, then the source, specific source, and referring source are sent to your organization using context session keys and literal values.
