Internal candidate transfers

Using the Transfer action, recruiters can transfer internal candidates after an offer is accepted and a start date is set. Transfer requests are routed to multiple people who can add information to the form. The HR administrator can update the information when the Transfer action is completed. If your organization uses the On Board selection process, then ensure that onboarding tasks are initiated before you perform this action.

When candidates are transferred, you can update the primary work assignment or another work assignment. To add a work assignment to a resource's record, you can use the Add Assignment action.

After the Transfer action is completed, the transfer request is routed for approval. When the final approver approves the request, a new resource record is created with a primary assignment corresponding to the work assignment information. To monitor the status of the request, click the Approval Tracking link on the job application.

If Position Monitoring is used in your organization and a position budget allocation is exceeded in terms of the maximum FTE, then you might not complete the action. The displayed error message explains how the budget is exceeded. You can complete the action by reducing the amount that causes the budget error. Recruiters can complete the action by reducing the amount that causes the budget error.

If the Legacy Employment Contracts are defined and approved on the job offer, then you cannot change the Legacy Employment Contracts on the Transfer action. The contract document that is generated during the offer becomes an active Legacy Employment Contracts on the resource's record as soon as the Transfer action is completed. You can change the Legacy Employment Contracts.
