Configuring threading for welcome emails

The ResendWelcomeEmailsForJobs action was built to implement multi-threading for improved performance. The default setting of this action is two threads.

Data Maintenance actions use the Async Administrator queue HCMDataMaintenanceAndRebuildActions. The default number of threads for this queue is one.

For optimal performance, the number of threads defined for the HCMDataMaintenanceAndRebuildActions queue in Async Administrator must be greater than or equal to the number of threads on the ResendWelcomeEmailsForJobs action in Action Configuration. Select Async Administrator > Home > Queue View and search for HCMDataMaintenanceAndRebuildActions to verify these settings.

  1. Sign in as Administrator and select Utilities > Action Configuration > Action Configuration.
  2. In the Action field, specify ResendWelcomeEmailsForJobs.
  3. Click Search.
  4. Select the action in and click Change Number Of Threads.
  5. In the Number Of Threads field, specify the number of threads.
  6. Click Save.
