Nominating a candidate to a succession pool/position

Administrators and HR Generalists can nominate a candidate to a respective succession pool/position. No approval process is required.

  1. Sign in as Administrator or Generalist.
  2. Select Succession > Manage Resources.
  3. Right-click the candidate and select Nominate As Successor.
  4. Specify this information:
    Position
    Select the position. The status is automatically assigned as Proposed.
    Recommendation Date
    Select the date on which the resource is recommended for this talent pool.
    Readiness
    Select a readiness code for the resource. These codes are defined by the administrator. Readiness is used to indicate the timeline when the resource is ready to fill the requirements of the pool. If a resource is added with a Confirmed status, then Readiness is required.
    Pool Source
    Select the source from which this resource was considered for the talent pool. Pool sources are defined by the administrator role.
    Comments
    Optionally, provide comments about the resources that relates to their being in the succession or talent pool.
  5. Click Submit.
    Note: If an candidate is already nominated, a warning is displayed indicating that the employee is already a member in that pool. Click Yes to update the resource. Click No to return to the nomination form.
