Safety roles

These permissions are provided by default for each role in the delivered solution:

Role Tasks
Safety Administrator
  • Setting up safety codes

  • Assigning facility-safety managers for each location

  • Creating safety-related email templates

  • Setting up configurations for notifications, emails, alerts, and more

  • Reporting observations and incidents

  • Evaluating observations and generating them as incidents or closing them

  • Incident processing

  • Performing assigned follow up tasks

  • Validating safe behaviors

  • Creating establishments and OSHA reports

  • Tracking positive COVID-19 cases on the COVID-19 Log

  • Reloading and refreshing cube reports. You must also be an Administrator to perform this function

Note: This role provides the highest level of employee-safety-related permissions.
Facility Safety Manager
  • Setting up safety codes

  • Creating safety-related email templates

  • Updating configurations for safety-related notifications, emails, alerts, and more

  • Reporting incidents

  • Evaluating observations reported for assigned locations and generating them as incidents or closing them

  • Incident processing for assigned locations

  • Performing assigned follow-up tasks

  • Validating safe behaviors for assigned locations

  • Creating establishments and OSHA reports for assigned locations

  • Tracking positive COVID-19 cases on the COVID-19 Log

Note: This role shares many of the same responsibilities as the Safety Administrator role but is limited to a specific location.
Manager
  • Reporting observations for and about other employees

  • Reporting observations impacting one or more direct reports

  • Reporting and validating safe behaviors

  • Investigating assigned observations or incidents

  • Performing assigned incident follow-up tasks

  • Reporting positive cases of COVID-19

Employee Manager
  • Reporting witnessed observations

  • Reporting observations that impacted or injured someone

  • Entering input for observation records that had been requested by the Safety Administrator

  • Reporting witnessed safe behaviors being performed by other employees

  • Investigating assigned observations and incidents

  • Performing assigned incident follow-up tasks
