Pay structure for time entry

Most of the setup that is required for time entry is described in the Infor Payroll Setup and Administration Guide. This setup includes using the Pay Structure page in the Time Administrator > Setup > Pay Structure menu to perform these tasks:

  • Create service codes if the organization uses Absence Management.
  • Create pay codes, also called payroll codes, which are required for both time records and Absence Management.
  • Create a custom group, also called an eligibility group, to assign to each pay code.
  • Create shift tables, which are associated with pay codes to determine how additional payment amounts or shift differentials are calculated.
  • Create pay-summary groups, which are used to summarize hours in the Total Hours by Period report.
  • Optionally, assign pay rates to a pay class for add-on processing.
