Creating a file channel for mass actions

Sign in as Process Server Administrator and select . Click Create.

On the Overview tab, specify this
information:
- Channel Name
- Specify the channel name.
- Description
- Specify a description.
- Enabled
- Select to enable the file channel.
- File Channel Type
- Select Remote.
- Source File Directory
- Specify the source directory where the .csv file for import
is located. For example,
MassAction\WorkAssignment or
MassAction\Employee.
- File Match Case Sensitivity
- Select Ignore Case.
- Error File Directory
- Specify the directory to store automatically generated
error logs. For example,
C:\MassActionError.
- In-Progress File Directory
- Specify the directory to store in-progress files. For
example,
C:\MassActionInProgress.
- File Scan Interval Time In Minutes
- Specify the number of minutes for the interval
time.
- Host
- Specify the name of the host.
- Protocol
- Select Sftp.
- Authentication Type
- Select User and
Password.
- User
- Specify the name of the user.
- Sftp Password
- Specify the SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) password
for the user.
- Time Out (In Seconds)
- Specify the number of seconds before the system times
out.

Select the File Channel Receivers tab
and click Create. Specify this
information:
- Receiver
- Specify the name of the file channel
receiver.
- Description
- Specify a description of the file channel
receiver.
- File Name
- Specify the name of the .csv file.
- Process
- Select WorkAssignmentMassAction for Work Assignment Mass
Actions such as Change Pay Rate. Select
EmployeeMassAction for Employee Mass
Actions such as Basic Hire.
- Data
- Select File Name.
- Startup Type
- Select Manual.

Click Save.

Activate the file channel and file channel receiver.

Select .

If they do not have a status of Active, then select the file channel
and file receiver in their respective lists. Select
Activate from the More Actions menu.
