Creating allowance types

Allowances are created individually for each resource. Each allowance must be associated with an allowance type.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Resource Components > Allowance Types

    or

    Select Administrator > Set Up > Employment Contract Components > Allowance Types.

  2. Click Create, and specify this information:
    Effective Date

    Required. Select the date on which the allowance type becomes effective.

    Allowance Type

    Specify the allowance type name. For example, PARKING.

    Note: 

    Do not use a dash (-) as part of the allowance type name. It may cause some formatting issues in other forms.

    Description

    Specify a description of the allowance type.

    Active

    Select the check box to make the allowance type active. Clear the check box to inactivate it.

  3. Click Save.
