Creating disability severities
Disability severity is used to describe the level of a person's disability. It is also displayed on some employee-related forms for resources with India payroll.
- Select Administrator > Set Up > Resource Components > Personal Information > Disability Severities.
- Click Create.

Specify this information:
- Effective Date

This field is required. Specify the first date that this severity is available for selection when creating disability types.
- Disability Severity

This field is required. Specify the severity name that users will see. For example, MILD, MODERATE, INTERMITTENT
- Description

Specify a description for the disability severity. If this field is left blank, the disability-severity name defaults.
- Summary

Provide an extended definition of the severity so that others can understand its intent. For example, Significant disability but self-sufficient and up and about for about 12 hours a day. Able to walk without aid or rest for 500m.
- Impairment Rating

Use the rating scale that has been selected by your organization to assign a numerical value to the disability severity. You can type whole numbers only. For example, 6.
- Active

Select this check box to make the disability type active. The disability type is active by default. Clear the check box to inactivate it.
- Click Save.
