Evaluated Time Records
When you run the Calculate Retroactive Pay action for mass action or individually selected records, applicable time records for retroactive pay calculation are selected.
The selected time records are called Evaluated Time Records. You can view Evaluated Time Records by work period and pay period on the Retroactive Pay Changes page to determine how retroactive pay was calculated.
- If the pay rate type is annual or monthly, the time record that has a pay period end date that is greater than the effective date of pay rate change is selected.
- If the pay rate type is hourly, the time record that has a time record date that is greater than or equal to the effective date of pay rate change is selected.
- If pay class or pay codes were selected, the time records for the specified pay class or codes are selected.
- Time records that include recalculated supplied overtime amounts.

- Time records with a pay code with these calculation types are selected for retroactive
calculation:
- Normal Rate
- Percent Rate
- Rate Shift Differential
- Percent Shift Differential
- Percent With Rate Shift Differential
- Percent With Percent Shift Differential
- Time Records with these statuses are selected for retroactive calculation:
- Retroactive Pay Time Records: The Retroactive Pay Time Record Type is 14.
- Manual: Employee Payment is Finalized. If you unfinalize and update the time record, a warning message is displayed.
- Closed By Payroll: This includes time records that are a result of voiding a payment.
- Current if Payroll Cycle is Locked: This includes time records that are a result of voiding a payment.
