Defining resource sections

Use this procedure to create a section that displays information about the resource; for example, employment ID, job or position, manager, length of service and so on.

The information in this section is for display only. Every appraisal will display the resource name, so you do not have to specify it. The resource name is the first item displayed in the employee section.

The length of service can be computed off the resource's start date, adjusted start date, anniversary date, or seniority. The resource display fields and length of service calculations are typically unique for each organization. The potential data elements are presented so that clients can select which items to display in the consolidated form for the appraisal.

  1. Select Administrator > Performance > Appraisal Forms.
  2. On the Sections tab, select Create > Create Resource Section.
  3. Specify this information:
    Section

    Specify a short and long description for the resource section. The long description displays on the appraisal form.

    Active

    The section is active by default. Clear the check box to inactivate it.

    Select Resource Fields To Include In The Section

    Select the check boxes for the resource information to display in the section.

    Length of Service Date

    If you selected Length of Service, select the date to be used to calculate the length of service. For example, start date, adjusted start date, and so on.

    Select Other Rater Fields To Include In The Section

    Select the check boxes for the other rater information to display in the other rater appraisal. If you want anonymity, you might select only Other Rater Completion Date.

    Instructions

    Specify instructions for the appraiser.

  4. Click Save.
