Performance appraisals (administrator)

Use this section to create the appraisal forms to be completed by the managers and resources.

This table shows the performance appraisal scheduling and initiation process.

Administrators generate the performance appraisals:

Generate the performance appraisals for a range of employees or for the employees in an eligibility group.

Note: This action generates a manager version of the appraisal for each of the employees' direct managers. If the form rules enable self appraisals, the action generates an employee's version of the appraisal for each employee.

Did you make the performance appraisal available immediately?

  • Yes: The appraisal is available to employees and managers.
  • No: Appraisals are available manually.

When the performance appraisal is made available, an action request to select other raters is displayed in the employees' inbasket or in the managers' inbasket. The inbasket depends on whether the form rules enable other raters and enable employees to request other raters.

Alternatively, managers generate performance appraisals for their employees:

Select Manager > Review Performance, select the resource, and click Create Resource Appraisals.

Note: The appraisal form rules determine whether managers can generate performance appraisals for the form.

The performance appraisals are available immediately to the selected employees and to the manager.
