Setting up email templates

You can set up several types of email templates:
  • Recognized By email templates are used to send emails to the employee submitting raves about coworkers.
  • Recognized Employee email templates are used to send emails to the employee being recognized.
  • Nomination email templates are used to send emails to employees who are nominated for awards in the team nominations program.

Use this procedure to set up email templates:

  1. Sign in as Administrator. The administrator must be assigned the Employee Recognition Administration role.
  2. Select Employee Engagement > Raves > Setup > Templates.
  3. Select a template.
    • Recognized By Templates
    • Recognized Employee Templates
    • Nomination Email Templates
  4. Click Create.
  5. Specify this information:
    Template
    Provide a name for the template. Optionally, you can provide a description for the template. If the description field is blank, then the template name is used by default.
    To
    Specify an email address. To specify a variable, click the icon next to the field and select a variable.
    CC
    Optionally, specify an email address. To specify a variable, click the icon next to the field and select a variable.
    BCC
    Optionally, specify an email address. To specify a variable, click the icon next to the field and select a variable.
    From
    Specify an email address. To specify a variable, click the icon next to the field and select a variable.
    Subject
    Optionally, specify a subject line for the email. To specify a variable, click the icon next to the field and select a variable.
    Image URL
    Optionally, specify a URL for an image to include with the email.
    Body
    Specify text for the body of the email. To specify a variable, click the icon next to the field and select a variable.
    Preferred Email Language
    Optionally, select a locale.
    Active
    Verify that this check box is selected.
  6. Click Save.
