Defining goal sections

A goal section pulls the current rated goals that a resource is associated with into the section for the selected goal types. To be included in this section, goals must meet one of these conditions:

  • The start date and completion date are within the performance review period.

  • The start date is before the performance review period and the completion date is within the performance review period.

  • The start date is within the performance review period but the goal has no completion date.

Note: The rating scale for all rated goals is the rating scale flagged to "Use For Employee Goals."
  1. Select Administrator > Performance > Appraisal Forms.
  2. On the Sections tab, select Create > Create Goal Section.
  3. Specify this information:
    Section

    Specify a short and long description for the section. The long description displays on the appraisal form.

    Active

    The section is active by default. Clear the check box to inactivate it.

    Instructions

    Specify instructions for the appraiser.

  4. Click Save.
  5. On the Goal Types tab, select Actions > Select Goal Type, and select a goal type to associate with the goal section.
  6. Click Save.
