Copying a position plan

You can copy an existing plan to create a new version of a current position plan or an entirely new position plan for the same planning level.

  1. Select Position Budget Manager > Position Plans.
  2. Open the position plan that you want to copy.
  3. Click Copy Plan.
  4. Specify this information:
    New Begin Date

    Specify the new begin date for the new position plan.

    Note: 

    You cannot specify a date range that overlaps the dates of an existing active position plan.

    New End Date

    Specify the new end date for the new position plan.

    Note: 

    You cannot specify a date range that overlaps the dates of an existing active position plan.

    New Description

    Specify the description of the new position plan.

    New Currency

    Select the new position plan currency.

    New Exchange Date

    Select the new position plan currency exchange date.

    Include Rules

    Select this check box to copy the rules of the source position plan.

    Includes Budgets

    Select this check box to copy the budgets of the source position plan.

    Budget Option

    If you selected the Includes Budgets check box, select the budgets to copy.

    Select Copy Latest Budget to copy only the most recent budgets when multiple budgets exist for the same job, position, organization unit, organization unit branch, organization unit and job, or organization unit and position.

    Select Copy All Budgets Within Plan Dates to copy all budgets that exist for the position plan within the new plan dates.

    Select Create Budgets From Existing Counts to create new budgets based on existing counts from the source plan on the date that the action is run.

    FTE, Headcount, Salary

    Select the budget counts that you want to create.

    Note: 

    You can create only budget counts that exist in the source position plan.

    Percent Or Amount, Increment, Rounding Method, Round To Precision

    For each budget count that you select, you can specify an increment. The new budgets are calculated using the increment.

    If you do not want to increment, specify 0 in the Increment field and leave the other fields blank.

    Percent Or Amount: To increment the budget count, select whether you want to increment it by a percentage or by an amount.

    Increment: Specify the percentage or amount to increment the counts by.

    Rounding Method: Select the rounding method for the results of the increment calculation.

    Round To Precision: Specify the rounding precision to display.

  5. Click OK.
