Adding a lot number
Perform this task if you are completing an assignment and if you are prompted
to provide a lot number. The Type
of health component determines if
a lot number is required.
- Sign in as Health & Safety Management.

Select Occupational Health > Monitor Health Components > Complete Components.
Or, select Set Up > Occupational Health > Health Component.
- Open the row for a component that is listed, then click the Lot Number tab, and then click Create.

Specify this information:
- Occupational Health Component
- Verify that you are working on the component that you intended.
- Lot Number
- Copy the lot number from the medications packaging. A lot number is required upon component completion if it is required. The lot number associates the drug or substance to a specified batch of product that was manufactured. The number links the drug to a facility, date, time, machinery, and more.
- Description
- Specify the name of the medication.
- Manufacturer
- Optionally, specify the name of the manufacturer of the medication.
- Expiration Date
- Optionally, specify the date when the medication expires.
- Dose
- Optionally, specify the dose requirement.
- Route
- Optionally, specify the recommended method of injection.
- NDC
- Optionally, specify the U.S. National Drug Code (NDC) for the medication. NDC information is located on medication package, if applicable.
- Legend
- Optionally, copy the legend or prescription designation from medication packaging, if applicable. Legend drugs are medications approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that can be dispensed to the public only with a prescription from a licensed practitioner.
- Active
- Optionally, clear the check box to hide the lot number from users.
- Click Save.
