How do managers use learning budgets?
This topic is applicable if your organization uses learning budgets. It is not applicable if you are using Infor Learning Management.
When budgets are distributed at the manager level, managers can view their budgets and the budgets of their direct reports who are managers. As new employee activities are added to their budgets, they can track the spent and remaining amounts for each budget.
When managers are satisfied that a budget is complete (includes all the activities that they want their employees to complete for the development period), they can complete the review for the budget, thus letting the learning manager know that their work is done.
As a manager, you have three budget views:
-
Budgets shows the budgets and the budget amounts that you are directly responsible for. For each budget, the system also shows the managers reporting to you who are still reviewing their budgets.
-
Direct Report Budgets shows all the managers reporting to you and the budgets for which they are responsible.
-
Rolled Up Budgets shows the budgets that you are responsible for and the consolidated amount for each budget (which includes the amounts you are responsible for plus the amounts your managers are responsible for.
Open any of your budgets or your managers' budgets to view the budget detail (including the budget amount, spent amount and remaining amount for the budget and the activity requests submitted for the budget) and to change the status of the budget to Review Complete.
