Modeling an employee's percent fit for another position
If you are considering promoting or transferring an employee, you can compare the employee's talent profile (skills, competencies, education, and credentials) with the Desired and Essential success profile defined for the position of interest.
You have no control over the qualifications used in calculating the percent fit for an employee's current position. The organization's percent fit settings determine the types of qualifications to be included in the calculations and whether only essential qualifications should be included.
For example, if a position includes Networking as a Desired skill, and the organization percent-fit settings exclude skills that are not designated Essential, then Networking will not be included in the comparison between the position's qualifications and the employee's qualifications.
