Transferring a compensation budget amount to another manager
You can transfer any amount from a budget you are owner of, or the budget of a manager reporting to you, to another manager. The budget must still be in Draft status.
- Select Manager > Adjust Compensation > Compensation Awarding.
- Select or open the budget from which to transfer funds.
- Select Actions > Manager to Manager Transfer.

Specify this information:
- Transfer To Manager

Select the manager to transfer the budget amounts to.
- <Rule-Name> Transfer Amount

For each planning rule, specify the amount to transfer, or leave blank if no transfer applies to a specific rule.
For an Equity rule of type Units, the label is <Rule-Name> Transfer Units.
- E-mail Managers

Select this check box to send an email to the managers to notify them of the transfer.
- Subject

If you selected the E-Mail Managers check box, then specify the subject of the email.
- Message

If you selected E-Mail Managers check box, then specify the body of the email.

Click OK.
If the planning rule is configured to transfer the budget amount, then the budget from which you transferred amounts is decreased by the amounts you transferred and the budget to which you transferred is increased.
If the planning rule is not configured to transfer budgets, then the transfer increases the budget of the manager you transfer to, but the budget from which you transferred is not impacted.
