Employee's talent profile
An employee's talent profile consists of all the employee's talent attributes: skills, competencies, credentials, education, employment history, and achievements.
Talent attributes are also referred to as qualifications.
Talent attributes can be added to an employee profile in these ways:
-
When employees are recruited and hired through the Talent Acquisition application, their candidate talent profile gets copied to their employee talent profile. The talent attributes that are essential to the position are likely to be validated before the candidate is hired.
-
Employees can modify their own talent profile. Skills, competencies, education, or credentials added by an employee remain Not Validated until you or the administrator validates them. Achievements and employment history do not require validation.
-
When an employee completes an activity where the outcome is a competency, skill, or credential, that talent attribute is added to the talent profile as soon as the activity is completed by the learning manager. The organization determines whether the talent attribute is added as validated, or whether it still needs to be validated by the manager or administrator.
-
An employee may be required to demonstrate proficiency in a competency or skill as part of a checklist that the employee must complete. When the competency or skill is validated (by the employee's manager, mentor, or peer), it is added to the employee's talent profile.
-
You can add or update talent attributes for your own employees. You can create them as validated.
