Requesting updates to a job requisition
You must request approval for any changes you make to the main Requisitions tab after the requisition is in Pending state. Administrators can update the requisition directly or request approval.
- Select Manager > Acquire Talent > Candidates And Requisitions.
- Right-click the requisition and select Request Update To Job Requisition.

On the Requisition Information tab, specify
this information :
- Position Code

To assign a different position to the job requisition, select a new position code. The position values are displayed when the update request is approved. If you select a new position code, the job requisition retains its original ID but the requisition refers to a different position.
- Recruiter

Select the recruiter for the position.

Optionally, specify additional information on the Requisition Information and Other Information tabs.
Note:
Some of the fields are configurable by your organization and may not be displayed.
- Effective Date
-
Specify the date on which the update request is effective.
- Reason
-
Select a reason code for this action.
- Date Needed
-
Specify the date when the position must be filled.
- Priority Requisition

If the requisition is urgent, select this check box.
All priority requisitions are displayed in red on the requisition list.
If automatic emails are configured for the organization, recruiters and others receive an email when a priority job application is submitted for the requisition.

Specify the position information:
- HR Organization Unit

Select the organization unit for which the position is required.
- Cost Center

If the organization unit is associated with a cost center, it shows in this field. Select a cost center, if applicable.
- Project

If the organization unit is associated with a project, it shows in this field. Select a project, if applicable.
- Category
-
Select the position category. Candidates can search for jobs by category.
- Sub Category

If subcategories exist for the category, select a subcategory.
- Location
-
Select the location for which the position is required.
- Standard Hours
-
Specify the standard number of hours per week.
- Relationship to Organization

Select the relationship to organization (for example, employee, consultant, intern, apprentice).
- Work Type

Select the work type (full time, part time)
- Work Schedule

To specify a work schedule, select the work schedule.
- FTE
-
Specify the full time equivalent for the position. (for example 1, 0.75, or 0.5).
- Shift

If the position involves a shift, specify the shift name or number.
- Exempt from Overtime

If the position is exempt from overtime pay, select yes.
- Professional Category

If applicable, select the position's professional category.
- Bargaining Unit

If the position is unionized, select the bargaining unit.
- Union

If the position is unionized, select the union.
- Legacy Employment Contracts Type

If an employment contract is required for this position, select the Legacy Employment Contracts (for example, FIXED TERM).
- Begin Date

Specify the contract begin date
- Duration

Specify the duration.
- End Date

Specify the end date
- # of Openings

A requisition can apply to multiple openings. Specify the number of openings.
- Travel Required

If travel is required, specify the percentage.
- Budgeted

If this is a budgeted position, select this check box.
- Relocation Provided
-
Select whether relocation costs are offered as part of the offer.
- Reason For Opening

Select the reason for requesting a requisition.
- Detailed Reason For Opening

Specify additional details.
- Direct Manager

Select the prospective position's direct manager.
- Hiring Manager

Select the prospective position's hiring manager.
- HR Contact

Specify the HR contact. The default value is the HR Contact that is defined for the organization unit.
- Alternate Recruiter

Select the alternate recruiter for the position.
- Approver 1, Approver 2, Approver 3

You can select up to three approvers, in the order in which you want them to approve. The approval process is triggered when you click Submit.
If one or more approvers are specified, your request is routed to each approver, then to the recruiter.
If you do not specify approvers, then the request is sent to the recruiter.
- Assessment Package

If the position requires candidates to be formally assessed, select the appropriate assessment package.
- Self Identification Configuration

To display self-identification questions on the job application, select the appropriate self-identification configuration.
- Question Set

You can select a different question set. When the requisition update is approved, all the questions in the question set are displayed on the requisition's Questions tab.
- Job Posting Template

You can select a different job posting template. When the update is approved, the new description shows on the Position Description tab.
- Consent Agreement (External)

Select the consent agreement text to be displayed at the beginning of the job application for external candidates.
- Consent Agreement (Internal)

Select the consent agreement text to be displayed at the beginning of the job application for internal candidates.
- Acknowledgment (External)

Select the acknowledgment text to be displayed at the end of the job application for external candidates.
- Acknowledgment (Internal)

Select the acknowledgment text to be displayed at the end of the job application for internal candidates.
- Confidential Requisition

If the requisition is confidential, select this check box. Only a few authorized people that are defined by the organization can access this requisition.
- Comments

Add any comments relevant to the request.

Click Submit.
Any approver on the approval route defined for the update requisition request action must take action. The requisition changes are displayed on the requisition after the approval process is completed.
If your organization uses Position Monitoring and this action would result in exceeding the budget for the requested position, you cannot complete the action. The error message shows how the budget is exceeded. You can complete the action by reducing the amount that causes the budget error.
