Configuring features for organizations

Configurable features are disabled by default. You must enable all configurable features that are applicable to your organization to make the available fields and actions required.

The HR administrator can enable and disable any feature at any time.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Structure > Organizations.
  2. Open the organization to configure.
  3. On the Detail tab, specify this information:
    Effective Date
    Specify an effective date for these changes.
    Base Currency
    Select a country code as the base currency. This is a required field.
    Finance Enterprise Group
    Select a Finance Enterprise Group. This is a required field.
    Career Planning Banner
    Specify a banner to brand the home page. To change the default banner text, go to the Configuration Console.
  4. On the Configuration tab, Global HR Modules section, specify this information:
    Absence Management
    Select this check box to enable the Absence Management application functionality.
    Employee Safety
    Select this check box to enable the Safety Management functionality.
    Benefits
    Select this check box if your company uses the Benefits application. If your company does not use the Benefits application, configure the Life Event Setup tab.
    Payroll
    Select this check box if your company uses the Payroll application.
    Employee Relations
    Select this check box if your company uses the Employee Relations features, such as coaching and grievances.
    Occupational Health
    Select this check box to enable the Occupational Health functionality.
  5. On the Configuration tab, Finance section, specify this information:
    Finance Enterprise Structure
    Select this check box to use the Chart of Accounts and to optionally assign accounting dimensions to finance fields from Financials and Supply Management in Infor HR Talent
    Note: Users cannot disable Finance Enterprise Structure after it has been enabled. Finance Enterprise Structure must be enabled if you are using HR Payroll.

    Shared Finance Data must be enabled before finance enterprise structure data can be configured in Infor HR Talent. See the Infor HR Talent Configuration Guide for information about enabling shared data in Infor HR Talent.

    Chart of Accounts
    Select this check box if you are using a chart of accounts to track resource expenses instead of using cost centers and projects. This enables the alternate expense account fields in Infor HR Talent, and disables the cost center and project fields. Alternate expense account fields are Company, Accounting Unit, Account and Sub account, Activity, and Account Category. The chart of accounts fields can be interfaced to Infor HR Management.
    Cost Center Project
    Select this check box you are using cost centers and projects to track resource expenses instead of using a chart of accounts.
  6. In the Configuration tab, Global HR Features section, specify this information:
    Collective Agreements
    Select this check box if your organization uses collective agreements.
    Employment Contracts (Legacy)
    Select this check box if your organization uses the Legacy Employment Contracts functionality.
    Note: To view menu items that are related to government contracts, you must assign the appropriate security role to your administrator or HR generalist.
    Employment Contracts
    Select this check box if your organization uses employment contracts.
    Note: When a new organization is created, the Employment Contracts check box is selected automatically.
    Grant Management
    Select this check box to enable the Grant Management fields in Infor HR Talent. These fields can be interfaced to Infor HR Management. They can be used to calculate amounts to apply toward grants. Chart of Accounts must be selected to enable the Grant Management fields.
    Predictive Outcome
    Select this check box if your organization uses HR Analytics to determine outcomes.
    HRM Employee History
    Select this check box to enable employee HRM history reporting.
    Job Relocation Provided
    If your organization uses Talent Acquisition, select this check box to have the Job Relocation Provided field to available on job requisitions.
    Loans
    If your organization uses the payroll features, select this check box to enable the loans feature.
    Pay Elements
    If your organization uses the payroll features, select this check box to enable the pay elements functions.
    Time Entry
    Select this check box to enable the Time Entry functionality.
    Travel Documents
    Select this check box make travel document forms available for employees and candidates.
    Career Credentials
    Select this check box to view the candidate's verifiable credentials in Talent Acquisition.

    To know which candidate credentials are verifiable, see "Talent Acquisition" in the Infor HR Talent User and Administration Library.

    If the Career Credentials check box is selected, Velocity is enabled in addition to Recruiting Partner API with Talemetry.

    Employee Recognition
    Select this check box to enable the employee recognition feature to recognize coworkers for performing excellent work.
    Work Assignment Synchronization
    Work Assignment Synchronization is not country specific. If you enable this feature, Work Assignments may be synchronized to the associated Job and Position for effective dates beyond the date of an initiating transaction. When this feature is enabled, you must select a Synchronization Option.

    Use Employee ID for HRSD
    Select this check box to use employee ID for Infor HR Service Delivery.
    Employee History
    Select this check box to enable employee history reporting.
    Synchronize Manager Structure To Work Assignments
    Select synchronization structure for employee work assignments.
    Enable Filtered Selects
    Select this check box to enable administrators to customize the field selections available on the employee profile based on the country or the employee's relationship to the organization. For example, a physical or mental condition could qualify as a disability in some countries, but not in others.

    Career Planning
    Select this check box to enable the career planning feature. When this check box is selected, the Career Planning menu shows in the employee space as a new experience.
    Actor Org Future Access
    Select this check box to grant actor org generalists access to future pending changes and the ability to modify pending records.
  7. In the Configuration tab, Talent Acquisition Features section, specify this information:
    Candidate/Employee Identification Numbers
    If your organization uses Talent Acquisition, select this check box for the Employee Identification Number field to be available on job applications and candidate summary pages.
    Mobile Candidate
    Select this check box to enable the Mobile Candidate functionality.
  8. In the Configuration tab, Talent Science section, specify this information:
    Enable Talent Science
    Select this check box to enable the Talent Science functionality, and click Save. This service is provided within career planning; you must enable and then configure talent science prior to using career planning.
    Note: When Talent Science is enabled, it must also be configured on the Talent Science Configuration tab for the Organization.
    Configure Talent Science
    Click this link to access the Configure TS (Talent Science) Interface. You must save the form first to access this link.
    Skip Create Profile Data for Candidates
    Select this check box to skip profile data creation for candidates.
    Talent Science ATS of Record
    Select this check box to enable Talent Science as the applicant tracking system of record.
    Learning Optimization
    Select this check box to enable the Learning Optimization functionality. Click the Configure Learning Management link to configure the LMS interface.
  9. In the Configuration tab, Transition Management section, specify this information:
    Enable Transition Management
    Select this check box to enable the Transition Management functionality.
  10. In the Configuration tab, Approval Process section, specify this information:
    Change Name
    Select Required if name changes are initiated by a manager or employee and require approval by an administrator or generalist.
    Note: If you select Required, name change requests that are associated with Marriage, Divorce, and Legal Separation life changes require approval.

    If you select Not Required, the default value, name changes are instantaneous actions.

    If approval is required, name change requests that are submitted by an employee or manager are displayed in Administrator Actions > Pending Requests and in Generalist Actions > Pending Requests. See the Infor HR Talent Resources Setup and Administration Guide for details.

    Add Address
    Select Required if address additions are initiated by a manager or employee and are approved by an administrator or generalist.

    If you select Not Required, the default value, address additions are instantaneous actions.

    If you require approval, address addition requests that are submitted by an employee or manager are displayed in Administrator Actions > Pending Requests and in Generalist Actions > Pending Requests. See the Infor HR Talent Resources Setup and Administration Guide for details.

    Change Address
    Select Required if address changes are initiated by a manager or employee and approved by an HR administrator or HR generalist.

    If you select Not Required, the default value, address changes are an instantaneous actions.

    If you require approval, address change requests that are submitted by an employee or manager are displayed in Administrator Actions > Pending Requests and in Generalist Actions > Pending Requests.

  11. In the Legal Entity section, select any of the fields that your organization may use.
    Note: Other Legal Entity fields are country-specific and can be selected on the Country Configurable Fields tab.
  12. In the Configuration tab, Attachment Size section, specify this information:
    Resource/ Candidate Picture
    Specify the unit of measurement (UOM) and maximum size that a candidate or employee can upload.
    Logo On PDF Posting
    Specify the maximum logo size that can be uploaded.
    CV/ Resume
    Specify the maximum file size of the curriculum vitae or resume document that can be uploaded.
  13. In the Configuration tab, in the Employee Development section, select the Employee Development module to enable for your organization.
    • Learning and Development. This module is the only Employee Development module that is available to new users.
    • Development Planning. This module is available only to older users who have not yet switched to the Learning and Development module.
      Note: The switch to Learning and Development is permanent and cannot be reversed.
  14. Click Save.
