Creation of manager roles

The top level of the manager structure is automatically created when an organization is created. The level name is "TOP LEVEL" and the Description is "(Autogenerated)." The manager code is 1. You must change both the name and description to match your manager structure.

When you create a position, you can automatically create a manager role that is synchronized with the position. The manager role's name and description are the same as the position's name and description. Its position in the structure is dictated by the Direct Manager that is specified on the position. As long as the manager role remains synchronized, you cannot change its name, description, or active status in the manager structure; you can only change them on the position record. You can de-synchronize the position from the manager role at any time on the position record.

You can add manager roles to the structure manually.
