Inactivating positions

If a position is associated with a resource or requisition, you should inactivate it instead of deleting it. Inactive positions are no longer selectable for a work assignment or requisition.

Note: 

If the position is synchronized to a job, you cannot change the position's Active status. To inactivate the position, you must either inactivate the job or de-synchronize the position on the job record.

  1. Select Administrator > Set Up > Jobs And Positions > Positions.
  2. Open the position to inactivate.
  3. Specify the effective date.
  4. Clear the Active check box.
  5. Click Save.
