Correcting misaligned manager structures

When the managers in the Position Is Manager and Reports To Manager fields are different, you can generate a report and correctly align the fields.

  1. Select Administrator > Utilities > Validation Tools > Manager Review > Manager Misalignment.
  2. Click the Position Misalignment tab.
  3. Click Generate Report.
  4. Specify the HR organization.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Right-click the position that is incorrectly aligned.
  7. Select Synchronize Position To Manager Structure.
  8. Click OK to update the position and delete the record from the report.
  9. Click OK to reorganize the reporting structure.
  10. Run the rebuild reporting relations utility.
