Defining percent fit rules and match margins ranges

Percent fit rules and match margins are defined for an organization in Infor HR Talent. Percent fit rules are used in the fit analysis and model fit for a resource. Use match margins for qualifications that are not exact matches to be considered close enough to match. For example, if a position requires a specific degree, a candidate with a similar degree would still be considered.

You can change your percent fit requirements at any time but updating the information on Organizations does not automatically recalculate percent fit details for resources. You must specifically update the percent fit calculation for your resources after making any changes to the organization.

Note:  Talent Acquisition does not use match margins for candidates.
  1. Sign in as Administrator and select Set Up > Structure > Organizations.
  2. Open the organization for which to define the percent fit information.
  3. On the Qualifications Fit tab, specify this information:
    Note: These settings do not apply to Talent Acquisition.
    Includes
    Select the components to include in the percent fit calculation. The components are Competencies, Skills, Education, Experience, and Credentials. Select Essential Only to include only essential qualifications in the calculation.
    Below Margin/Above Margin
    In the Match Margins columns, specify the margins for your organization. Specify the levels above or levels below the position's level that are considered a match. If a resource has skills, competencies, or education levels that fall within these level ranges, they are included in the percent fit with margin.
    Note: To use match margins for education, you must define a level equivalence for each education component.
    Include For Resource
    Select this check box to include resources that do not have the exact credential for a position to be considered a match. For example, if the only credential required was a certification that could be acquired in a short amount of time. Use this check box sparingly.
    Manager And Resource Display
    Administrators and generalists see both percent fit and percent fit with margin calculation results. Use this field to determine which percent fit calculation results employees and managers can see.
  4. In the Talent Acquisition section, you must select at least one of the qualification types for percent fit calculations. For information about percent fit rules in Talent Acquisition, see the Infor HR Talent Acquisition User Guide. Specify this information:
    Competencies And Skills
    Select this check box to include competencies and skills in percent fit calculations.
    Education
    Select this check box to include education in percent fit calculations.
    Credentials
    Select this check box to include credentials in percent fit calculations.
    Experience
    Select this check box to include experience in percent fit calculations.
    Essential Only
    Select this check box to include only essential qualifications in percent fit calculations.
    Minimum and Maximum Range For Qualifications Fit Progress Bar

    Specify the minimum and maximum percent of the percent fit progress bars. For example, specify 75% to 100% for Green for the progress bars to be displayed in green for candidates with that percent fit range. If no color is selected, progress bars are displayed in blue. These selections apply to percent fit progress bars in other Infor HR Talent applications.

  5. Click Save.
