Creating a VETS company
- Select Administrator > Reports > Regulatory Reporting > US > VETS > Set Up.
- On the Company And Hiring Locations tab, click Create.

Specify this information:
- Effective Date
- Specify the date on which the company is available.
- Company
- This number is assigned to your company by the United States Department of Labor.
- Description
- Optionally, specify a description for the company.
- Establishment Type
- Select Single Establishment if your organization has only one location or Multi Establishment if there is more than one.
- Prime Contractor
- Select this check box if your organization is a primary contractor on a government contract.
- Subcontractor
- Select this check box if your organization
is a subcontractor on a government contract. Note: An organization can be both a prime contractor and a subcontractor.
- Country/jurisdiction
- Select the country or jurisdiction for this report.
- Job Country Attribute Category
- Select the attribute category for this report.
- Click Save.
- Within the VETS company, create a hiring location for each of your organization's locations. In the Hiring Locations section, click Create.

Specify this information:
- Effective Date
- Specify the effective date.
- VETS Hiring Location
- Specify an identifier for the location.
- Active
- This check box is selected by default. Clear this check box to inactive this location.

On the Hiring
Location tab, specify this information:
- Hiring Location Name
- Specify the name of the location being created.
- Headquarters
- Select this check box if this location is your company headquarters.
- Location
- Select the physical location of the establishment. This must be a defined HR location and the location must be one with a defined county.

On the Other tab, specify this information:
- Select the group that identifies employees within this hiring location
- Select a custom group.
- Maximum Employees/Minimum Employees
- Specify the minimum and maximum number of
employees at this location during the report period. Note: You do not have to specify these values if you are using the day of the month field to calculate the maximum and minimum number of employees. The maximum and minimum values are automatically displayed in these fields.
- Enter the day of the month to use for the total maximum and minimum number of permanent employees calculation
- Specify the day of the month to use for
the calculation of the total maximum and minimum number of permanent
employees at this location. When creating the VETS report, Infor HR Talent uses the number of
employees on this day of each month to determine the maximum and
minimum number of employees.
For example, if you specify 15, Infor HR Talent finds the number of permanent employees on the 15th of every month during the reporting period. The greatest and least of those values are used as the maximum and minimum number of permanent employees.
Note: If you use the day of the month to calculate the maximum and minimum number of employees, the calculated values are automatically filled into the Maximum Employees and Minimum Employees fields. You can also manually specify the Maximum Employees and Minimum Employees values to override the calculated value. - State Consolidated Location
- Select this check box if you are creating a consolidated location for several locations that have fewer than fifty employees.
- Number of MSC Locations
- If you are creating a State Consolidated Location, specify the number of locations being consolidated.
- Click Save.
