Position components

In addition to classifying jobs, you can also classify or group positions for your organization.

A variety of position classification options are provided with the standard product.

These are examples of possible ways to group your positions.

• Position level

  Examples: Vice President, Assistant Vice President (officer levels in a financial institution).

• Position family

  Examples: global engineer, local engineer

• Position category and position subcategory

  Note: 

  Position categories and subcategories default to the Category field on job requisitions and are used in job searches.

  Example of position category: North America.

  Examples of subcategories: Canada, Mexico, United States

• Working condition types

  Working conditions can be set up for jobs and for positions at the organization level. Infor HR Talent uses the same forms to define job working positions and position working positions.
