Screening categories

You can assign screening categories to assessment packages, background check packages, positions, and requisitions.

Screening categories are used to group multiple screening packages (both assessment and background check packages) so that they can be automatically or manually assigned together. Screening categories can also be used to limit the screening packages that you can assign.

For example, a screening category named BasicEligibility is assigned to a position and to assessment packages and background check packages with the Auto Assign Package rule turned on. When you assign a resource to the position, assessment and background check packages that are associated with BasicEligibility are automatically assigned to the resource. If a job requisition is created for that position, the screening category defaults on the requisition. When candidates apply for the position, assessment and background check packages that are associated with BasicEligibility are automatically assigned to the candidates.

Note:

If an assessment or background check is also defined to require a selection process, candidates are auto assigned only when they are moved to that selection process.

The auto assign feature is configured on individual assessment and background check packages. There are system edits in place to prevent duplicate assignments.

Screening packages and individual assessments or background checks within screening packages can be removed after they have been assigned to a resource or candidate.

Screening categories can also be used to manually assign multiple screening packages to one or more resources or candidates. When you do a manual assignment, the screening packages included in the screening category are assigned to the selected resource(s) or candidate(s) regardless of the resource’s or requisition’s position.
