Recommended setup for rebuild maintenance

To ensure rebuild maintenance utilities function optimally and do not interfere with the day to day actions required of the system, Infor recommends this setup.

Rebuild method

Use the Zero Impact rebuild method. This method has no impact on Managers, and the action run time performance is improved over the Legacy method. It also puts less stress on the system.

Dynamic rebuilds

Disable dynamic rebuilds. When enabled, records are updated dynamically and changes are reflected automatically. However, dynamic rebuilds can also unintentionally flood queues and put more stress on your system.

Note: When you choose to enable dynamic rebuilds, do not run these rebuild maintenance utilities without specific instructions from Infor Support:
  • Rebuild Manager Chart
  • Rebuild Organization Unit Work Assignment Data
  • Rebuild Actor Organization Unit Data
    Note: The performance of the Rebuild Actor Organization Unit Data action can be improved if your system is configured for HCM_RunGroups, which enable concurrent action processing. See Configuring concurrent actions with HCM_RunGroups in the Infor HR Talent Configuration Guide.
