Deleting job categories

You cannot delete a job category that is attached to a job, but you can inactivate it. If you delete a job category that is associated with job subcategories, the subcategories are also deleted.

  1. Select Setup > Jobs and Positions > Job Components > Categories.
  2. Highlight the job categories to delete, and click Delete.
  3. On the confirmation form, click Yes. When prompted, specify an effective date.
