Defining document templates

You can create document templates for use on a coaching, corrective action, or grievance. The documents can be any format. Note that documents that are intended to use Microsoft Word’s mail merge functionality must be Rich Text Format (.rtf) documents. When the Create Document action is used on a coaching, corrective action, or grievance, the.rtf documents are merged with the data for the issue. The documents are saved on the issue.

  1. Select Employee Relations > Set Up > Document Templates.
  2. Select the tab for the type of document template you are creating: Coaching, Corrective Action, or Grievance.
  3. Click New and specify this information:
    Document Template
    Specify a name for the template.
    Description
    Provide a description for the template.
    Template File
    Select the file to use as the document template.
  4. Click Save.
