Searching for text within documents

Employees can search for texts within documents.

  1. Select Employee > My Documents > Text Search.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Text
    Provide the text to search.
    Result Limit
    Optionally, specify the limit to the maximum number of documents that can be returned in a search. The number that you specify overrides the maximum number that is specified for the organization. A higher number than the default value can affect performance.
    Search Name
    Optionally, specify a name for the search. Users can use the name to filter documents in the search history.
  4. Click Submit.

    A list of documents that include the text is displayed. The number in parentheses indicates the number of results that were returned.

  5. To view the search string, click on any file link.
  6. To view document details, click on a row.
